Rimini

Rimini is located in a flat area on the Adriatic coast, in south-eastern region of Emilia-Romagna. It is watered by two rivers: the Ausa and Marecchia, which gives its name to the province (Valmarecchia; The other region is called the Conca valley, from the name of another stream). The course Marecchia has been diverted in recent times: once flowed where now is located the port of the river. It is the Italian city nearest to the Republic of San Marino, which is connected with a highway built with U.S. funds after the Second World War on the route of the old consular road, which crosses Coriano, Verucchio Montescudo to reach Customs (RSM), first town after the border. The coast looks like a very large beach, whose waters are very low and therefore particularly suitable for bathing.
